ACYPL - Study Tour, March 5-13, 2011

In 2011, the American Council of Young Political Leaders in partnership with the Foundation for Pluralism will develop a special 8-day program focusing on the Roma population. We invite young leaders from Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Italy, with three participants from each nation.

We ask for English-speakers since it s a multination project, but otherwise the usual conditions apply for delegate selection with regard to age (25-40 years old) and geographic and gender diversity.

The candidates could be elected (but not at parliament level) or work in the political party apparatus or in civil society, or be a community leader dealing with Roma issues. Our intent is to expose them to similar efforts in the USA where people are working to promote political awareness and involvement in politics for minority communities.
